In honor of Dali's infamous moustache- DIA implemented superb marketing- anyone sporting a moustache received complimentary admission. Wha?!. Awesome! We had a seriously grand time & it was cool to see everyone wandering around Rivera Court with moustaches. Kudos once again to the DIA for modernizing the museum experience & keeping it fresh... they seem to have it mastered.
Detroit Institute of Arts is one of my favorite museums in the world, (yes- it's true- even compared to the Tate, Louvre, The Getty, National Gallery- you get what I am saying) so I was excited about taking everyone (baby included) to the DIA for the Spanish Masterpieces exhibition. It included work by five Spanish artists: Goya, El Greco, Velasquez, Picasso, & Dali.
